Laurie Grove, New Cross
A scheme that achieved planning earlier this year. The narrow site achieves a quirky two storey house with sympathetic materials to the site’s context and the form of the building is in keeping with the terrace albeit expressed in a modern aesthetic.
The brick is now a red stock brick that sits more comfortably in its setting and relates to the listed building opposite. Corten steel has been used on the feature bay and banding to reflect architectural elements of the sites context and add interest and depth to the street scene elevation.
